Hey guys was wondering if I could get the size of tubing you are using to make your shifter rods and what size, type and grade of bolts and heim joints you are using to put this together? I have a 1966 mustang toploader case with a competition plus shifter. Thanks Scott!

Sorry I have another question. Are those button head 3/8 machine screws?

Yes to the button heads and 1-2 rod has a clevis on the shifter end with a clevis pin. There is a concoction of various fasteners to make things fit.

You'll need to modify a little here and there but nothing major. The throat of the clevis need to be ground back a tad at the lever will hit. Also the clevis come with a 5/16 hole if I recall and needs drilled out to 3/8 and don't forget to get some 3/8 clevis pins. Also since I ran the reverse rod below the shif trunnion reverse is now to the left and down, not like stock and left and up. No big deal, just different than what you are use to.

Im right now trying to figure out how to run the rod without the clevis. Might work might not.

Since the reverse lever on the shifter is in the middle of the three you don't have many options. The space between the levers in the shifter allow only enough space for the clevis. Anything with a head will only increase which will decrease the room available. The clevis and pins are cheap. Are you using LH & RH threads or just RH?
