This morning my dad and I took some gears up to Liberty to have redone. We were met by Craig and he took time with us and talked about what we needed plus answered a few questions my dad had. He gave us a tour of the new shop and all I can say is wow! He gave us excellent service that went far beyond what we expected. He gave us a great deal on a few things and even threw in a t-shirt for each of us. I don't know if he is a member here, but thank you Craig for taking time out of your busy day to help us out. That says a lot about you and your business. And thank you for what you do for the U.M.T.R.

I too have talked to Craig on the phone. When I first put the Liberty 4 speed in the wagon I had questions about the trans and called at 7 pm. Craig answered the phone and was very helpful. He also gave me his personal cell number. What a guy and a business man!

I have been attempting to order gears since July. Not waiting on parts; just trying to place an order. I'm glad you guys had good luck with Liberty. As of earlier this week, I think I may be starting to make some headway. I wholeheartedly believe in supporting our sponsors and don't want to bash anyone, but both sides should be told for the racer who may be trying to decide on what transmission to buy, and this is not my first time waiting several months for something that was promised in a week.

Craig and Liberty in general is great to deal with. Craig can be hard to reach at times but to me the wait is worth it. I have never had the trouble Jim has with placing an order but I am not doubting that has happened to him. If I don't get a call back by the next day I call again. Sometimes this process goes on for a couple of days. I understand how it is running a small business and everyone that calls wants to talk to the number 1 guy so i just try to be patient. I get the feeling that Craig not only handles the customer service and tech aspect of the business but I think he is hands-on in the shop too. I know they have changed help some over the last year or so and they just recently moved the entire operation and I'm sure that will slow things down some. Craig has helped me out a lot when he didn't have to, I think that says a lot about the kind of guy he is.

I just want to second Chuck's comments. We have been dealing with Liberty (and Craig) for 17-18 years and, on multiple occasions, Craig has gone waaaay beyond the call of duty in helping us out.

Based on our experiences, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Liberty's Gears' products or services to anyone.

Better late than never, the gears are on their way! I'm hoping that the change in venue and the addition of employees will increase turn around time.

Thanks for the correction, Larry! I guess I got my wish, though, as I am still waiting on the correct gears. I could write a book . . .
