I just finished rebuilding my engine and I'm switching it to e85. I was just wondering is there anything different that you do for break in on e85 ? I've had a few people tell me I should do the break in on racing fuel. What do You think?

My only question would be carb related? I suppose regular fuel would be easier unless you have the right carb tuned up to run E85 right off the bat. Beyond that I don't know what the real issue would be? I have no experience with it, but curious.

The only issue I can think of, fuel related engine break-in, is that you don’t want any fuel washing the rings and ruining your ring seal. So know your carb is in perfect operating condition before you start it up. Nothing worst than having a stuck open needle & seat!

I'm just switching to e85. I guess the smart thing to do is put a gas carb on it and racing fuel in it
To break it in. I'll probably race it with that setup once. To make sure everything is okay.
And yes I'll be buying e85 at local gas station but I did buy a tester.
Is there a problem with buying e85 at the pump?

Fuel tends to fluctuate too much buying it at the pump to me. I would just go ahead and go methanol if youre willing to go to E85
