Last summer I bought another Camaro with the intention of switching it from a glide to a 5 speed.
Spent the end of the summer trying too figure out a timing issue. The previous owner knew
Nothing about the motor other than it was a 383 . fast forward; puled the motor & trans too start
the change over & check the cam #s for spec’s, found that it had a 400 flex plate with a “internal”
sfi balancer, Crankshaft has indications of internal balancing.
ANYONE, hear of doing this? Is this some kind of Hybrid balance job or just wrong parts used?
New season approaching fast , would rather be racing not sitting in the garage weighting on parts
too return from machine shop.
