Base & Counterweight for Clutchless
Finally have a few clean passes after a 6 year hiatus.
Started out with 5 turns 770 base and 12 grams on each lever.
Ran 9.81 w-1.33-60ft. launched at 5,500 and 6,500 shift.
Took 1/2 tun out and lost 60ft. 1.35 and E.T. 9.87.
Holds tight in 4th.
I thought I read somewhere when going clutchless counterweights aren`t always needed. Base is does it all since there is no flash on the gear changes....
No chasing the "ultimate" E.T., just no pounding parts and repeatability..........
Well, I saw your post, and if you can get a data logger, that would help. Also what kind of clutch, 11 inch 10 inch
Few years ago, I didn't have any counterweight, and I thought I was slipping the tires. And the car was faster. Finally looked at the data logger closer, and the clutch was slipping. Was not slipping in high. I have a Lenco,. At the time , Tim was my man and he just laughed, and said I needed counterweight. Was always a mystery to me somewhat at that time. McLeod soft loc, 10 inch disc. There are people that check this forum and hopefully they will update, there password, by using the forget password link
